I've rarely used it as "credit," and accept never been certain what that means. Does it mean it'due south like a real credit card, can buy things without money? Alternately I could write a check, merely who does that anymore? |

Posting No, They become posted as the aforementioned speed. Paying... Depending on your credit card, you normally Get twenty or then days from the end of the billing cycle to pay the neb before you incur late fees, (If yous have no credit card balance, Interest charges). Btw: Well-nigh (Newspaper) Checks are converted to EFT, and clear only like a debit card transaction now. |

It depends on how your bank handles it. If y'all don't currently accept a negative residual, the transaction may go through as "pending", and would postal service tomorrow. Of course, your direct deposit would be made tomorrow but might only show as pending until the next day. Most banks I've dealt with testify two balances: available balance and ledger balance. The available balance is what the banking concern says you lot have to work with, while the ledger residue is your "official" balance and is the 1 that is not allowed to go beneath nada. As far every bit debit vs. credit, it depends on the type of transaction, too. Using information technology as a debit (with Pin) volition cause a pending accuse for the full amount. Using information technology as a credit, the pending charge may be as little as $1.00 (I oft meet this when I purchase gas). |

Alternately I could write a check, but who does that anymore? If y'all have a Debit Card it's a Debit Card, not a Credit Card, that means that the corporeality available on the Debit Carte du jour is based on the amount in your bank account AT THE Fourth dimension OF THE TRANSACTION minus any Pending Transactions. If y'all don't take enough funds in the Bank Business relationship at the time of the purchase minus whatsoever pending transactions, so you will need to await until yous have plenty funds to cover the purchase. Furthermore, when y'all have the choice to utilise your "Debit Card as a Credit Card" what that means is that you are using Off-Line Debit which is to use the Debit Card without entering your Pivot number. Usually they will require a signature when y'all use the Debit Carte in this way. So overall, your Debit Card tin can't exist used as a Credit Card because it's Not a Credit Menu, you can either utilize the Debit Card with your Pin Number or without your Pin Number at locations that accept 5/MC. |

Alternately I could write a check, but who does that anymore? Debit cards branded equally credit cards are even so debit cards. If you don't have the coin when yous swipe the bill of fare, the transaction will be denied. So it doesn't work like a credit menu. |
